About Us

'The Maiden Over' was founded in December 2013 and is dedicated to delivering comprehensive and analytic opinion on a vast range of cricketing issues in an easy to read and succinct style.

The site re-launched on the 1st January 2014 aimed at debuting a new format, article segments and content to better convey our writers opinions, differentiate ourselves from other cricket blogs and entice new readers. A major part of this scheme is the "500 rule" where no article on this site exceeds 500 words in length to enhance the element of convenience delivered to readers. We recognise that in fast paced modern society, people no longer have the time to wade through columns in the Newspaper, paragraphs and paragraphs of text online or even to watch the sports report on the nightly news, so we see it fit that our articles 'get straight to the point' and tackle the crux of the issue at hand.

Currently, "The Maiden Over" is run by Tim Wray (@Wray24) and Sam Wood (@WoodyCricket) and they are always gladly open to publishing your articles on this page.
